A war between passions and reason,
Passions try to crush reason in vain,
Wisdom rejects it, calls it a treason,
Against natural laws, life full of pain,
Reason lives in brain, passions in heart,
Passions change dear to argue futile,
We cannot buy reason from any mart,
Nothing hidden watching from a mile,
Reason gives pleasure, passions grief,
Thorns around buds guards of flower,
My Muse tells secrets in words brief,
How turns a fresh leaf into a dry leaf,
Kill passions from the reason knife,
Wisdom prolongs life: free of strife
