SONNET 663
By JH Sayyar
Since a long, long time I have beenAlone in the desert of your memories
In utter darkness: white sans sheen!
Reflecting your face emotions increase
O My Sweet Lady, I recall your sharp;
And glowing face shines in the gloom;
Sadness flows from heart when I harp
Echoes echo in my heart’s dark room
Twinkling stars mock at my poor fate!
The rays hit my emotions in utter lone
But till my last day; for you I do wait!
Falling prey to senseless when I groan
O Fair! All is same in all; just your face
Teaches, do not waste money on grace!
