35. Ode to the Dying Love

35. Ode to the Dying Love

                                    By JH Sayyar

1

When love dies tears shine on the cheeks,
Murmuring lips; tongue dries at the root,
Heart weeps with sighs and shrieks,
Lonesome bites; sorrows my love hoot,
A teasing pain; losing sight every night,
Reason laughs at our crooked choice,
That leaves you in sorrows and suffering dale,
To die alone standing away laughing in plight,
A shape shifting, no answer calling her thrice,
Love dies in desert; disloyalty dusk; prevail

2
When love dies tears make pillow wet,
Sighs and tears listen to all night stars,
Laughing at faithless love; pain and fret,
Injurious to love more than fatal wars,
Tears dry in eyes; we die when love dies,
Eyes full of salts, tears fall down like rain,
Wet pillow, none to see; none to console
Woe and wail: Love reward, ah just cries,
The body falls on bed; in all joints pain,
Open eyes around you; darkness and dole;

3

When love dies my Fair’s spreading arms,
Free of grief, breaking heart, plucking eyes,
O God when love dies, ends, heart charms,
Hollow cheeks, trembling feet when I rise,
Your issues; blind, cannot see in lovers’ heart,
A Hell, injured; dying desires all around,
Goddess of love walks, with her painted art,
She crushes my injured heart by her smile cart,
Bleeding, as a rabbit torn by the hound,
When love dies, my Lady roams in the mart
