29. Ode to a Statue

29. Ode to Statue

I saw a statue standing in my heart palace,
Alone, with a smiling face and talking eyes,
Looking at it; at last I put forward my pace,
Beautifully, the sculptor’s hands immortalize,
Cheeks, lips, eyes, and flying silky hair,
When I watched, it was my Lady, standing still,
Like a Roman statue, full light pink green,
Ring in her finger, green nails, decorated with care,
Around her neck shining gems of an Eden rill
Colored bangles; the silence of heart garden seen

I wondered, why it stands still like a fort wall,
Shining in moon lit on a silent pebbled shore,
I talked to her, no answer, O my cute pall,
No answer, I request her to speak, no more,
I drink love poison turns my body into a stone,
Except my eyes, neither I move nor sit or say,
Looking at you, my joys no bound, my soul,
Fails to touch, I released love rays in lone,
Touching your heart, my locked lips open to pray,
To God, get silence, when I think; you my goal,

I asked, “Who carved you? Replied me soon,
None, I myself, so that none could touch me
My heart, lips, cheeks, eyes, your entire boon,
When I am free, I know how to dissolve it easily,
I requested a Fairy, to award me golden wings,
To fly to you, sitting on my poetic wheels,
Bridles made of gold, white horse flying to,
Your palace, she promised me to give magic rings,
None can see you flight with heavenly meals,
Reaching there make on the beech bill and coo
