SONNET 31
By JH
Sayyar
I find Cupid sleeping among the trees:
Around him dancing nymphs with glee
Looking at his face my wishes cease,
Staying there danger I from there flee
When he awakes I do see in his eyes,
My Mistress standing by his side,
Hot kissing in the shades, no cries
His holy love knows no earthly pride.
Lucky the man who love receives:
Cupid lip mark on my Fair’s face,
The man who gets does not deceive,
Roam over earth a true love to trace
My love a Cupid’s newly born child,
Your love sweeter more than honey wild.
