33. Ode to Sarakinoko
By JH Sayyar
1
O Swan flying over the beach of golden sand,
Shining pearls in cataract sees the flying Swan,
A enchanting place for rest, Swans there land,
Taking bath in waterfall, like a sea prawn,
Leda taking bath lying on the beach,
Ignoring men and birds falling in the sleep,
Golden waves touching her heavenly feet,
Looking at the sleepy Leda, Swans reach,
Sits by her, spread wings on the sandy heap,
To get protection from eagles; Leda does greet,
2
Leda covers the Swan with her golden hair,
Its long neck touching her coral breast,
Beak touches eyes, now starts a love affair,
The Swan seduces Leda; after a long rest,
He rests on the breasts slept for a long time,
Now shape shifting Swan appears in Zeus forms,
Leda gets loaded belly, gives birth my Swan,
Helen’s twin sisters, Leda’s kid in spring time,
Helen destroys Troy; my Swan snatches my charm,
Floating hair, by the hair sitting in my lawn,
3
O Sarakiniko Beach the; Trogons never forget you,
Causes Helen birth, I thank for the sandy beach,
For my swan, Helen’s sister for bill and coo,
Here, Leda comes, her daughter to teach,
Mend her saucy tongue gives woes on annual day,
Her sharp tongue her cute face and grace,
Make her proud more than Helen’s cure eyes
Increases sorrows, I request you stand on the bay
You leave us forever, behind you a print grace
Kills me by her tongue, Leda! Listen to my cries,
