By JH Sayyar
Each night I find you in the silver glow,
Where light pours its hush across the skies,
And in that calm, your gentle features show
A ghost of love that never, never truly dies
The shadows kiss the curve beneath your eyes,
As if the night stars remember every line;
I trace your smile where silent stillness lies,
Dream your breath still lingers close to mine.
No mirror holds such grace, no waking day
Can conjure what the midnight hours reveal
Your face, aglow in Luna’s soft ballet,
Becomes the only truth I do see and feel.
Though distance veils you from my sight,
I watch your face each day in moon’s light.
