649. When I come at home after hard toil

SONNET 649

By JH Sayyar

When I come at home after hard toil
I see in the glass my sweat full face
Recall in the mind youth golden coil
Makes me young, enhances my grace
When I lay on bed looking at the moon
Mocking at my loneliness with it rays
Your face in solitude makes me loon
Your kissing sight adds charm to days
O Lady I do not know where you are
But time will have silver in hair grown
My eyes search for you near and far!
When I unlock memory lock I moan!

O Lady! Youth has gone, silver in hair
But in mind young you and your affair
