SONNET 373
By JH Sayyar
When wisdom dies, emotions fly,
Lover’s wisdom sleeps in the cell,
Brain in the dusky air soars high,
To burn souls opens a gate of hell
Ears refuse to listen the heart-sob,
Heat changes the body into grain,
Into holes, sad heart tries to probe,
Eyes blind, ears deaf, all in vain!!
Love is the cucumber bitter foam
Hides in it as canker in the rose,
Slowly and slowly its fumes roam,
All negative trends in soul grows
All mortal images store in the eyes,
Heart receives signals from the skies
