618. When my Bright Lady swears of love

SONNET 618

By JH Sayyar

When my Bright Lady swears of love
I trust her anon but I do think in lone
Knowing me that I am a tamed dove
While I know fully her false moan!!
All right what you say with my whole
Heart I accept; but my love your tongue
Does not match with the cheeks’ mole
I am old and you are in search of young
Search for a new love, leave me alone
I have you in mind sweet love no matter
You will weep bitterly when I am gone
But my loyalty will your being shatter

Every new love in loving surely green
Void of faithfulness, just beauty sheen
