128. Reason controls all, its child; Muse,

SONNET 128

By JH Sayyar
Reason controls all, its child; Muse,
Teach kids first how to use reason,
Like those kids sitting on the pews
If you do not teach it makes treason,
Beyond reason; the matter of love,
The child with the mother follows it,
You green in love my O kid-glove,
I think love is beyond your silly wit.
True love sings forever O MY Fair,
Your love sweeter than honey dew,
Cupid’s red, red eyes at you stare,
True lovers on the earth are a few!

The hands write the verses never die,
The tongue spreads the words will fly.
