By JH Sayyar
O Dareness, flame that sets the soul alight,
Thou bid the meek to rise and take the sky,
Thy whisper turns the shadows into light,
And plants resolve where once did silence lie.
No fortress holds against thy storming will,
No chain can bind the thunder in thy name,
The trembling heart, once cold, now dares to kill
Its fears and step through trial, fire, and flame.
Thy kiss is risk; thy breath, a sharp ascent,
Where dreams hang trembling on a thin edge
But better far to fall in bold dissent
Than rot in peace beneath a coward’s hedge.
So teach us, Dareness, how to brave the cost
For only those who dare shall not be lost.
