622. O My Bright Lady you me betray

SONNET 622

By JH Sayyar

O My Bright Lady you me betray
As fishermen give by powder bait
To the river fishes you lead astray
To the right path, but I do not hate
Hate breeds hate; I will bear you!
With your unnatural faults Sweet
Love more than hills heavy woe
Come back as you are I you greet
Again with my whole holy heart
Forget the past and past injuries
Love with you still the best part
You do leave behind all worries

Let us swear and revive our woo
Let us tell races our love was true
