613. I saw in dream a white beard man

SONNET 613

By JH Sayyar

I saw in dream a white beard man
More than ninety years he had seen
His looks like an angle voice wan!
A sixty years man before him green
Looking at me in simple words said
“Woes decay spirit-thews and sinews
Deranges powers as thorns make shred
And love from the body slowly diffuse”
Advising me the old man disappeared
Leaving me alone in the darkest night
Anon my reason awakes and veered!
To the core point of the seeing sight!

I sum up; when woes encircle you; weep
Bitterly, it wipes away all pains in sleep!
