480. I saw a park full of birds playing

SONNET 480

By JH Sayyar
I saw a park full of birds playing
Children playing; breeze blowing:
Look at the kids birds were saying
Let us leave, the kids at us glowing
I saw children climbing up the trees
Ah to snatch the birds’ eggs in lone
All children; chicks happily tease!
Birds were wept when all are gone
Go in the parks, do not mar flowers,
Dear Children! Hail birds no harm
Birds weep; when you beauty mars
Evil kids bleak; all the garden charm

World: a garden of God, do protect it
God is happy watching your wise wit
