SONNET 401
By JH Sayyar
Christmas comes with heart pleasure,
A wave of glee spreads among mass,
Birds and men sing happily in leisure,
I see in the sky shines a golden Cross
I see all the birds sing Christ’s praise,
All fly and sing merrily Jesus’ Psalm,
Angels smile in Heaven when I gaze
I see all around spreads a holy calm!
All glorious days: peace of our soul,
Leave no effect on men! After this:
Ah Poverty rules over the North Pole,
Poor recall in solitude just Christmas,
G Days’ value people know not well
When Christmas goes all poor in hell
