392. Wisdom and lore far from reach,

SONNET 392

By JH Sayyar
Wisdom and lore far from reach,
Neither both in soul nor in mind
To the holy men: Angles teach,
To make justice: all men to kind,
Fools trace wisdom in the books,
Wisdom not on earth at any cost,
All clever find wisdom in looks,
You see seagulls sit on the mast
Wisdom: a gift for all holy men,
A golden crown of a holy soul,
Shines like a pearl in the den!
Its light: a guiding light in coal

Those who call wisdom lie: fools,
Wisdom grows in soul, not in pools
