289. As moon light falls on black beads,

SONNET 289

By JH Sayyar
As moon light falls on black beads,
In the dark night, when we sleep far,
And the farmers in chill grow seeds,
As the evening fire in the fatal war,
Both the light produces pity and fear,
In the listeners’ and watchers’ heart,
The first glee, the second brings tears,
In eyes, both are my Lady life-part,
Just in dream I see your sweet face,
Diverts my attention to the past,
Compels me to add in lines grace,
In pretty words; I write more fast,

Your name keeps me alive all day,
Guides me when I go to wrong way,
