246. Ah you did not come yester night

SONNET 246

By JH Sayyar
Ah you did not come yester night
You changed my sleep into hell,
But in dream I see your dim sight,
Walk with me your nature is well,
But my love, you surely ignore it,
It injures my body and sad soul,
Brings dishonor to the lovers’ wit,
Beauty-witch; women’s wit control,
Your actions in public give grief,
You repent on it; I get a heavy loss,
More teases give your shame relief,
All wise know what is in the Cross?

Tears; garland; flow from the eyes,
Wearing the garland; all dead arise!
