205. I have seen all curses of poverty,

SONNET 205

By JH Sayyar
I have seen all curses of poverty,
The rich of the country put on man,
Rejecting God’s laws talk on charity,
Standing proudly before the foolish fan
When unwise get money call it a skill,
The poor are advised to say the prayers,
It shows clearly no needy helping will,
Poor's sigh cleaves both hemispheres.
When the rich lose wit is not snatched,
Now ask where their wisdom art flies,
Having doubts on mind; loss is hatched,
How it is done, cannot be seen by eyes;

Don’t hate the poor; sighs mar the face
Hate awakes slept sighs bring disgrace.
