SONNET 196
By JH Sayyar
Tears in eyes when I remind of you!
Sleep and rest away from sad eyes,
As birds flee from a farmer’s shoo,
Your beauty ruth my wit beautifies,
Separation woes bitter than death,
As a poor sad on his brother is slain,
How can she entertain worldly mirth?
None can realize the parents’ pain.
You leave me in this jealous world,
To tackle separation woeful my fate,
Would that I were born to be a bird,
That flies over the sea with the mate.
Most dangerous the tears float in eyes,
Falling with the curse, avoid the cries
