SONNET 59
By JH
Sayyar
Cheat in love is, you know well,
Make new friends but must be wary,
Your secrets to others never to tell,
In telling O Rose you must be chary.
Cheating in love; a canker to gall,
Lending in friendship a self-treason,
Borrowers lick dust, listen to me pall,
We cannot read other’s false vision.
I am loyal to you as water to steep,
As cuckoos to trees follow my verse,
I am as holy as the Jesus’ sheep,
Catching my words keep in the purse.
Body is just earth surely without soul,
Tracing a true love on earth my goal.
