584. Silence and smile two wings of soul

SONNET 584

By JH Sayyar

Silence and smile two wings of soul
Silence to save self from all issues
Smile to burn the poor’s grief coal
My eyes see all foolish both misuse
I see the power of above and below
Nothing but silence; a few know it
Of silence; words, the bitterest foe
Use silence the fire of wisdom to lit
When you smile! Rose; burns woes
Your smile enkindles my duller soul
My poor heart recalls your past vows
But O Lady! Silence in love my dole

When silence rules over a deep ocean
Running but unseen will be it motion!
