534. A piece of Godly soul in our soul

SONNET 534

By JH Sayyar
A piece of Godly soul in our soul
Dwells in heart, sees through eyes
Heart rhythm sings God’s Carole1
In summer like nightingales’ cries
Every being; an image of a being!
Intent soul takes shapes in a sense
A few know it, silence eye seeing
Men feel free; around us a fence!
Men fear death, death no existence
Death dies; soul lives in paradise!
If soul leaves body, no repentance
All mortal, not soul; know it wise

Coward fears death, wise accept it
You know not; death near you sit!
