231. If I do compare you with a sparrow,

SONNET 231

By JH Sayyar
If I do compare you with a sparrow,
You are lighter, more and more agile,
Your flexible limbs bend like an arrow,
You me everyday O Lady does beguile,
Sometime your eyes; more to me kind,
But dimpled cheeks reflect your heart,
Why do you hide your nature behind?
It is your gentle nature eyes pin-part,
Ah! Your beauty will never be fade,
Nor you will lose your beauty gift,
Nor will touch evil eye beauty shade,
Nor you will get any type of rift,

You enjoy fame even after your death
Never changes your beauty in breath
