114. Walk side-by-side sin and shame,

SONNET 114

By JH Sayyar
Walk side-by-side sin and shame,
First our black sins bring disgrace,
Both make the sinner’s body maim,
Punished in the Court, lie is the base.
Follow forefathers to shun troubles,
Those who neglect it fall in the hell,
All wise men follow, neglect a gull,
What is right? All know it well!!
Lie eats soul as dead by the worms,
Sin eats virtues like autumn leaves,
Virtues spread in heaven like storms,
On earth sinners punishable thieves.

Follow parents to make a happy life,
Happy are you if the best is your wife
