SONNET 469
By JH Sayyar
When love kindles; glow on cheeks
Eyes survey hearts anon at the Malls
Hides plastic art furrows and creaks!
Tears on the cheeks, stale love crawls
Ah! Youth fades with passage of time
Night sins weaken soul; love falls ill
Do love yourself, to love other crime
Woman’s fall starts when love’s will
I love my Lady O My Pretty Being!!
I tame my being to love on this earth
Silver in my hair: my age is fleeing!
My being a scarecrow sits by hearth
Time steals beauty; it will leave you
World hungry of lust tell; am I true?
