383. O Rose your kiss burns my brain,

SONNET 383

By JH Sayyar
O Rose your kiss burns my brain,
Hunger in stomach, pain in head,
Awaking wit flying up with train,
Watching worlds, awaking dread,
Love proves termite to my being,
Like a scarecrow hanging in field,
For birds, the scarecrow is fleeing
Love termite cuts bones like shield,
I turn down your false love is stale
Beauty cannot feed belly I do find,
O Love! Go to the greens you hail
I say goodbye love: no more kind!

Self love: grace, a wisdom crown!
All happy wear on head truth gown
