278. Cowards: afraid of death: do not know

SONNET 278

By JH Sayyar
Cowards: afraid of death: do not know
What death is: nothing but a long sleep,
In a narrow cell sleeping all row by row,
Alone lying helpless earthworms creep,
A brave accepts death gaily ready to face,
Hate in life appears with all its reactions,
Good deeds before God enhancing grace
What life is nothing: reactions of actions
Ah! We must know: what is mortal in us?
Souls not: bodies die: in soul no change,
Our Zat after death remains surely cuss
With done deeds: limitless power range,

All are written in the book, our all deeds,
Angels write with mighty pen our creeds?
