SONNET 122
By JH Sayyar
Sweet breath full of healing power,
I reject it with forceful arguments,
Heart; loveless like a hollow tower,
Remains of olden time’s monuments
Conscious without love do not worry
As our eyes without lights just holes,
Have tears to shed and no light to see
Lovers on earth walking on the coal
You promise to love but turn it down,
As the rich chide beggars at the door,
As the rich lady throws a tattered gown,
The lovers are rejected by a liar whore
All the greedy loves die soon O Fair,
False loves are more, true loves rare
