103. I trace a true love in the false world

SONNET 103

By JH Sayyar

I trace a true love in the false world
How foolish I am since my natal day,
It proves now right that I was heard,
The lover in all life can never be gay
Love-god is blind and cannot see!!
Judges all things with emotion-eye
Forgets as Adam the forbidden tree,
He breaks the oath in vain the cry.
Falling in love starts my poor fate,
Now have no way to flee from this,
How poor I am; how was I great!
I surely kill myself just for a kiss.

Love cannot be chained with any chain,
You are happy if my true love is slain.
