By JH Sayyar
When first the stars in whispered hush aligned,
And moonlight kissed the petals of the rose,
Love stirred from dreams within the mortal mind,
A flame where once no heart had dared suppose
It breathed in sighs of dusk and dawn’s delight,
In glances shared and pulses quick to rise,
It bloomed like spring from winter’s weary night,
And lit new worlds within two meeting eyes
No thunder marked its soft and sudden start,
Nor trumpet's cry announced its tender flame
But in the quiet chamber of the poor heart,
It carved a throne and gently signed its name.
So born is love, not loud, but deeply true
A spark divine and the soul forever knew.
