935. In each falling tear I do see your name,

SONNET 935
By JH Sayyar

In each falling tear I do see your name,
A crystal echo drawn from heart’s well,
Though the skies grieve too, feel the same
Each drop; a tale no tongue or pen can tell.
The moonlight weeps upon my windowpane,
Shadows dance where your laughter stayed.
Though time moves on, cannot cleanse the stain
Of love lost, nor the dreams that slow decayed.
Yet still, within the shimmer of the falling rain,
Your voice returns in sighs through the gloom.
It soothes the ache, yet sharpens tender pain
A ghost that walks the corners of my room

True Love leaves the marks no years can tame:
In every falling tear, O Lady! I see your name.
