By JH Sayyar
Let us sit together at the pebbled shore,
Where sea and silence whisper old desire,
And watch the waves, in rhythm evermore,
Caress the rocks like fingers lit with fire.
The winds comb your hair with salty grace,
While twilight dips its brush in ocean blue,
And I shall read the longing on your face
A tide as deep and aching as my view
No need for words, hearts’ tongues unknown,
And time, that thief, may pause to watch us stay.
Each breath we share becomes a stone we own,
Laid gently where the sea won't wash away.
So take my hand, and let this stillness be
A shore of love, where souls sit wild and free
