932. In your erotic eyes, love softly lies,

SONNET 932
By JH Sayyar

In your erotic eyes, love softly lies,
A dream enshrouded deep in velvet fire,
Where silence breathes, every shadow sighs,
Inflamed by dusk-born embers of my desire
No speech stirs what rests in passion's keep,
Where glances stroke boldly than the hand,
And the world dissolves in honeyed sleep—
A hush where only hearts can understand
The lashes fall, as night upon the blue sea,
I am drawn like tides to your command;
No prayer, no plea—just raw serenity,
As stars descend to kiss your darkened strand

In you, love sleeps but waking, fierce and wild,
It burns with naval hunger, tender and beguiled.
