SONNET 763
By JH Sayyar
In quiet strength, your spirit shines so true,
Saleem, my friend, faithful and kind
A soul that holds skies of deeper blue,
Whose wisdom leaves no thought behind?
Through storms you walk, unshaken grace,
A lantern lit when darkest hours fall near.
Your laughter warms the loneliest place,
And turns to joy what once was held in fear.
You speak with care, and listen like the wise,
A brother forged not merely out of time,
But by the bond that fate itself did prize,
A friendship wrought in something near divine.
So here’s my verse, a tribute to your name—
In every line, the echo of your love flame
