By JH Sayyar
O eyes of azure, calm as twilight seas,
Where silence whispers through a soul,
You hold within depths winds and trees—
A sky that weeps, a sky that makes me whole
Like sapphire flames do not burn but glow,
You gaze with truth too soft to ever blind.
The storm rises, the tempests come and go,
Yet peace within your glance I always find.
No poet’s ink, no painter’s careful hue
Could match the light that dances in your stare;
The world turns pale beside that shade of blue,
A hue too wild for reason to declare
Let others chase the sun or stars above—
I find my heavens in your eyes of love.
